Bronwyn Clarke was appointed as Project Manager for Lane Cove ALIVE in July 2006. Bronwyn's original qualifications are in Secondary Teaching (Art) with Post Graduate Executive accreditation in Event Management and Arts & Cultural Marketing.
Bronwyn moved from the education and arts sector into Local Economic Development and now with 14 years experience in Place Management practice Bronwyn is one of the more experienced practioners in the field both Nationally and Internationally. She has was worked as an independent consultant in the role of Place Manager for PlanningNSW, delivering a series of Urban Improvement and Living Centres Projects (2000 - 2003) in Metropolitan Sydney. Bronwyn has also worked with the NSW Department of State and Regional Development, assisting with the delivering of Mainstreet and Small Towns Projects throughout Regional NSW. Just prior to taking on the role of Project Manager for Lane Cove ALIVE, Bronwyn worked at both Randwick and North Sydney Councils as their Community Consultation specialist working specifically in Precinct Development.
As Project Manager for Lane Cove ALIVE Bronwyn has continued to apply her arts based knowledge and practice to link with all the local cultural groups through being a member of the Cameraygal Festival and Cultural Diversity Committees. Lane Cove ALIVE has just initiated a series of six trial Art & Design Makers Markets, the first of which was in August. Bronwyn's past experience as a professional potter (20 years) and Kirribilli Art & Design Market Manager for 3 years provides Lane Cove ALIVE with a wealth of knowledge on which to draw.
